Back in May I received advice from PeteC in response to a query I had about problems opening mail in OE6. I have since been away and have only just got around to trying the suggested reinstall of OE6. Here is the main part of what I received from PeteC:

"The only suggestion I have is a reinstall of IE 6 as outlined in Method 2 here, unless your Toshiba came with a full XP installation CD - not a Recovery CD which I rather doubt - in which case Method 1 may work.

    http://www.theeldergeek.com/repair_r...e_and_oe_6.htm "

The deletion of IE7 to take it back to IE6 (as also suggested by PeteC), registry changes and reinstallation of IE7 (ie method 2 of the above) seemed to go OK and OE now seems to be working better, although it's still a bit slow to open emails. However, every time I start the computer, I get a message telling me that OE6 has been removed from my computer and asking if I want to tidy up my personal settings, or words to that effect. OE6 is actually functioning OK so is obviously not removed. To be safe, I click No in response to this question.

Any suggestions how how can stop this nuisance message appearing?
