    Hi all,

A co-worker uses Outlook Express 6 at home to connect to Comcast mail via POP3. A few weeks ago, he realized that everyone who sends him an email gets a reply automatically. This reply contains nothing at all.

I'm not aware of OE6 even having an auto-reply feature in it, but I will look if someone can tell me where.

I'm stumped so I would appreciate any help. A Google search has not yielded an answer for me. :-(

    Thanks!

    Chris

Have your friend look at his message rules, there is a reply with message option there, perhaps that is being triggered?

Failing that this is perhaps not the issue but from the top of my head look at Tools->Options->Reciepts and select Never Send a read reciept.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I had thought about a rule, and there actually is one that says...
I'll check again that he doesn't have that on somehow, but even if he did, the rule doesn't work unless there's an actual message filled out... I'll let you know. Thanks!
