Odd text problems

    Hi, often on buttons the last character is missing so i get dialog boxes with the buttons "O" and "Cance ", also several now display %s instead of the name of the computer and users.

    Right click an empty area of your Desktop, Properties, Settings, Advanced, and make sure the DPI setting is 96.

    it is 96DPI, it can't go lower on my computer

    I wanted to be sure it was not set to a higher DPI.

    Start button, Run, sfc /Scannow

    Have your XP Cd handy.

    i don't have a xp cd, but i do have a i386 folder would that be useful?

    and the file mentioned in the link isn't there

    If you have an \i386 folder XP should find it, or you can point to it.

    And good news about the file Ramesh mentions not being found.

    If i386 is located at C:\. Adjust the source below to where the file is located.

    unfornutly its still requesting the cd, so i'm going to contact toshiba
