    Everytime I receive an attachment in my Outlook express...it takes it upon itself to "remove" it claiming it may be infected with a virus. I have norton prescan outgoing and incoming e-mail...is there an outlook setting I'm missing??? Thanks.....o/s is winxp

    I don't believe OE removes any attachments. It is probably Norton that is removing things.

    In OE Tools, Options, Security, is the option to allow attachments to be opened or saved, if you choose.

    If you are using Zone Alarm, it may be quarantining your attachments. That option is in ZA settings.
