nvidia won't allow standby/hibernate

    i can't use hibernate or standby due to my nvidia geforce2 card on windows xp. why is this ? :(

    A suggestion...
    Download the latest XP drivers for your card. Try the card manufacturers site first before you go straight to Nvidia's site.
    Uninstall the current software/driver, delete the card from the device manager and let windows redetect the card, then install the latest drivers.

    I know the Nvidia drivers that shipped with XP are buggy but why do you say these are the cause?

    Detonator 21.83 for XP

    Swap your drivers to VGA first, reboot. Windows wont detect cause its still there. Then run Detonator

    hmm :( no luck

    i tried that but it didn't help. it still says that my device driver for my nvidia card is still interfering with stand by and hibernation.

    any more thoughts?
