The 'Num Lock' light remains alight on the Logitech Keyboard when I close down my PC. It remains on when the PC is "dead ".

I removed this problem by disconnecting the keyboard from the PC and then reconnecting it again. This is a pain to say the least.

Has anybody out there encountered a similar problem and how was it resolved.

Try a different keyboard to eliminate a possible keyboard fault.

If you still have the same problem then likely a potential problem in the PC.

BTW is it a PS2 (round purple connection) or USB flat oblong connection?

Thank you gengis for your response. I have a PS2 connection and now having gone onto the web I found details of what & what not to do in the Microsoft website, but normally of little help. I also surfed the web and found other comments and/or suggestions.

It is not a keyboard fault as you intimate but has happened since a new internal battery was inserted onto my motherboard.

    Meanwhile thank you once again.

    Have a nice day
