Upgraded from XP directly to Win 8. Formatted the drive and put the Win 8 cd in the drive. Problem is that the numbers keypad no longer works and the num lock key is inoperative. Any thoughts on how to turn it back on. Using a Dell XPS that is pretty well loaded wi/ memory and two partitioned hard drives.

You'll probably have to install some drivers.

Anytime you format a drive and install Windows - you should go to Dell's web site and install drivers for your mobo etc...
