Hi All - this has kept me busy a while, so I thought I would pass it on now,
as you are all much better at these things than I am ..
I right click the (bottom left here) Start Button. Normally, I would expect to
See "Settings ", "Run ", "Help" and so on.
Instead, I see items from a usual Folder right click context menu.
I do not know how to repair this (TweakUI doesn't) and also I do not know where the Start button is in the registry.
Thanks for your time and help.
    regards

Do you have your mouse buttons reversed? Open, Explore, Find plus any additions apps may have added is and has always been the Norm for a rightclick on the startbutton on my computer.

To get the options you sound like your expecting I would have to open the startmenu with a left click.

Perhaps you have used some third party tweaker that gave you these right click "startbutton" options or did a little registry "context menu shell" tweaking yourself.

Hi Ann, Thanks for the post.
A left click gets me to what I expect. I don't know why I had this right
click fixation :) - maybe old age. It started out by me wanting to know
the registry origins of a right click on the Start button.
    Any ideas on this ?
    Again, thankyou ...
    regards
