Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up task manager. Processes tab. Highlight ntvdm.exe and click on End Process. It should stop.

Each older DOS app you have running will start a process named NTVDM.exe (NT Virtual DOS Machine) that is simply creating a small DOS environment in memory for the app to run in. End Process on that one ntvdm.exe just closes that particular section of memory which effectively closes the application that was using it. No effect on any real files on your system.

    You are right, newt
    But a new problem happens
I close ntvdm.exe when unstalling SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 3.0 Trial
Then pc stops removing SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 3.0 Trial
Although this way can solve the crashing problem, but it still can’t let me remove the software SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 3.0 Trial
Do you know how to remove this trouble software without using its auto unstalling application?
    Thanks

I'd contact their tech support at http://www.surething.com/ST/Category.asp?CatCode=SUPPORT

If you don't have any luck there you could try deleting all the pieces of it you can find and then scanning the registry for any mentions and removing those. That should get most of it.

One other suggestion for the future. I do lots of installs of things just to try them and have found some that just don't want to politely go away. For around $20-25 you can get a copy of Roxio's GoBack (or get it as part of a Symantec/Norton package). If you create a restore point with it before you do the install, you can just roll back to that restore point and all traces will have vanished. No uninstall needed.
