This may be of use to those that ever get this message when booting:

    NTLDR is missing
Press Ctrl Alt Del to Restart

We had 3 back to back power surges the other day, wife's XP computer threw out that error message when booting.

I solved it by removing the drive, connecting it to another computer and copying ntldr from one drive to the other. Put the drive back and system boots to Windows and all is OK.

It seems the power surges erased the ntldr file.

While there are many dirrerent solutions on the WWW for this problem, this was the fastest way to do it for me.
