    have externall USB HD -did not hook it up yet. Have XP Home.

    I split your post away from This one where the user wanted to do a fresh OS install and then restore from backup and thought his apps would work if he did that. Trying to mix two sets of problems in a single thread usually causes confusion so easier to put your question in a new thread.

    You are probably talking about something different but if you could explain in detail it would help.
