I just installed NSW 2004 on my WIN-98 system. The NAV definitions from NSW 2002 were expired, so I used the 2004 that I have on my XP Pro.
But, NSW installed at least 3 XP files that either crash the explorer on startup or corrupts my USB Ext HD.
These files are apphelp.dll, userenv.dll and maybe a XP atl.dll. Also UXTHEME.DLL is missing.
I had to go in w/ DOSSHELL and change the names of apphelp.dll, userenv.dll, atl.dll to dl2.
It started fine. I changed atl back to dll and so far okay.
But, without those other 3 files NSW freezes at start up.
The one thing that I HATE is each component cannot be installed seperately as in the past. The entire menu of apps appears and even if you only choose NU, it installs some NAV, Ghost, Pasword, CS, etc. files.
I was wonering if moving them to the system32 directory, where they are in XP may help?
Any idea how I can have my dlls and still run my system. No mention at symantec.

    Thanks in advance
