Running NS7 under XP Pro (thanks to help from Ramona & co.!)

Only a minor problem with the address book remains; it cannot remember a mailing list. I can define a new one and NS correctly addresses messages with that list. However, the next day (after exiting NS and rebooting) NS remembers only the name of the list, not the e-mail addresses associated with it.

Any ideas? Note that I had imported my old address book using Ramona's "not for the faint of heart" text editing trick, which seemed to work fine.

    Hi SvN,

You have encountered another one of those annoying bugs! See this Bug Report.

I can't seem to recreate your problem. I followed the instructions in the above Bug Report, by:
    creating the Mailing List
adding no entries and O.K.'d out
the new list appeared as an entry in the Personal Address Book

Then highlighted the New List in the Left Pane
Dragging the addresses from the Address List in the right pane to the New List in the left pane

I have rebooted the PC twice, and the new Address List was retained...

Using the "Not for the Faint of Heart" procedure would have no effect on this procedure, so you can relax! ;)

Let us know if this continues to be a problem, and the above workaround doesn't work for you.

    Ramona :D

    Hi Ramona.

Thanks for the bug reference. I've tried the workaround (dropping and dragging names into the left window rather than typing them into the card. Seems to have cured the problem.

Chalk up another one for Ramona! :)

    Thanks!
