Well, I finally did it. I attempted to switch from NS 7.0 to Thunderbird but I have a problem. It only allowed me to import mail from 1 of my 2 profiles. It listed both but I could only choose one to import. I tried to go back after importing the first but it no longer gave me the option of importing the second.
I also would like to create a second profile on FF 1.07 and import bookmarks but cannot figure out how to do this.

    Thanks

Ok I installed the two profiles into FF and exported bookmarks from NS but still can't figure out this TB profile thing!!!!!

We assume that the other profile has a name different from xxx.default. Then, in WinXP, at least, Start|All Programs|Mozilla Thunderbird|Profile Manager.
It will allow you to create a new profile, with the same name as before, and the location as it was in NS7.2. I would rather start from scratch, and rely on the manual copy/paste of the needed files.

I tried that and it does not give me the option to import any NS mail, other mail yes, but not NS. Do you mean starting a new profile in TB with the same name as the old NS and copying in the .slt folder?

Sorry, I was getting mixed up with Firefox and Netscape. You are correct, there is no way to import settings from NS7.2, into Thunderbird. I did a test, and only the usual suspects are presented. So, you will have to do it the hard way.
