I know this may sound dumb, but how do you get the SVG plugin to run in NS7
    Cheers

    Hi Graeme,

So you're going to go Guru on us, huh? Here is the link for the home page of the Mozilla SVG Project:
    http://www.mozilla.org/projects/svg/

This page is outdated (6/02) but does give you some good resources, in addition to those that Alice has found for you, including W3.org.

    Hi Alice,

    "...what is SVG? "

Apparantly it is a Plugin required to view the maps on the following page.
    http://qroti.com/placeinfo/qld/rail/gildora/map/
I have followed the instructions for the plugin and it still don't work.

    Hi Ramona,

"So you're going to go Guru on us, huh? "

    Not Bl**dy likely.

I have had a quick glance at the links you have both included, but they look more for the "Guru" league.
Will hover do some more reading

    Cheers and Thanks
    Graeme

    Hi,
Apparantly you have to install the following 2 files in the Netscape Plugins directory.
    * NPSVG3.dll
    * NPSVG3.zip
I have done this but each time I go to the previously mentioned page Netscape hangs.
This is more a pest than a problem.
    Any further ideas?
    Cheers
    Graeme

    Hi Graeme,

I'm definitely far from the guru league but from what I can gather , SVG (scalable vector graphics) is a way to add graphics to webpages and that the result is similar to macromedia flash content.. As far as I can figure, the Adobe SVG Viewer version 3 available from http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/
works with IE (Win98 and above) and with special SVG-enabled ( "GDIplus ") builds of Mozilla however, it is NOT supported in Netscape 7.

That's kind of what I figured, since http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/windows1.html#SVG
says: Adobe SVG Viewer Installation Instructions
    Netscape 7.0: Unsupported
    Mozilla 1.0: Unsupported
Version: 3.0 This plugin is not supported by Mozilla 1.0

    Hi Alice,
    Thats kinda what I figured.
Have to get Netscape/Mozilla/Adobe or whoever is involved to support it.
Anyway, have removed them for now.
    Cheers

Yes, seems that Netscape7/Mozilla 1.0 are works in progress.
