    1. My logitech cordless mouse's backward and forward side buttons don't seem to be functioning. Any ideas?

    2. I know you gave me settings for tabbed browsing before, Ramona, but I've lost them. I don't want new tabs opening each time I visit a new site. The only time I want a new tab is when I actually click on the New Tab button. Otherwise I want it to reuse the current window. How do I do this?

    3. Will the Modern Modaki theme work with this? It worked with the beta.

    4. Cookie control does not seem to be as advanced as with Firefox. There I could make exceptions and have the browser dump all but my exceptions when I closed it. Am I right... that this browser, like Mozilla, is not as advanced as Firefox in this respect?

    Thanks.

Okay... I "think" I've answered question number two. I went to Tools>Options>Tabbed Browsing>Open Behavior and set it to "Overwrite Existing Tab" in ALL instances. Is this the best setting to accomplish what I want? Thanks.

    James,
I imported the beta settings, but I had to mess with all the Tab settings again. I hate the thing, after spending all this time testing the betas.
As for the Themes, there is a new, pretty decent Winscape, but neither skypilot not Modaki work.
They also left out System mail, although one of my two profile has a half icon, carried over from beta. But, my mail is messed up, so I get nothing.

By the way, NS8 final is out, and beta is in.
I will have to see if it is possible to have both. It should be, if installed in different folders.

Done. I got the so-called final in NS8, and beta in the default location.
I am using the Winscape theme for the final, Modoki and Skypilot with two profiles, for beta.

    James,

I have installed Netscape 8 Final Release, and it's pretty slick! I am delightfully surprised, and find it much more user friendly than the Beta Releases. As to your questions:

    1. Dunno why your cordless mouse isn't functioning correctly? I have gone over the Release Notes and see nothing there. I would offer feedback on this problems. You can do so here: http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/support/default.jsp

    2. You figured out... Good going!

    3. Westside answered...

    4. That's exactly what I'm seeing, that there is no way to add exceptions, to deleting cookies on exit. Maybe this will be forthcoming.

It may be a good idea to start afresh. Like Son of NS8 problems and questions.
I, for one, appreciate the fact that I can install this far from final version in a different directory, and keep the the beta.
I know that AOL does not like this (they used to block old versions, in beta testing within weeks, and no beta was available when a final release came out), but there is not much at stake.

    captjlddavis,

It would be better to start a new thread for each problem. We'll let James keep this thread all to himself. This way we may avoid long, long, long, threads! ;)

    Thanks for asking...
