I put Netscape 7 on this computer and on the other...it CHANGED the file associations on both computers and ruined the active desktop on my other computer. My photos were opening in Netscape, which is ridiculous as they cannot be edited there. I was able to change the file assoc. in this one, (Windows ME) and get them to open with the photoediting...BUT in the other computer (Windows 98 SE) there does not seem to be a way to change it to open with Photosuite. Why Netscape wants to open photos is beyond me, and I am faced with having to reformat and reinstall Windows and reinstall all programs and lose half of everything on my other computer!! I am really upset!!! I am faced with countless hours and days of work all because of such a stupid thing as NS opening my photos!!

    Hi Dixie,

Netscape can be configured to not take over any of your file associations.

    That setting is located in:
    Edit|Preferences|Advanced|System

    Disable all File Types

If Netscape 7.01 is not your default browser, also disable all Protocols.

Let us know if you continue to have problems.

    Ramona :D
