Help Ramona, The problem is back after a week. Whenever I go to a site that uses flash player I get the message that it has performed an illegal operation and to restart my browser. This only happens in 7.01, it works fine in NS 4.79 and IE 5.5 sp1. What is also weird is that when I go to the macromedia test page the shockwave portion works fine but the flashplayer does not work and the illegal operation message comes up. I used the uninstaller, rebooted, and reinstalled the plug in in the 7.01 browser, but the problem remains. What is funny is that it worked ok for about a week, since my last problem with it.

    Hi Marv,

Am I understanding correctly that you are installing the player online? Have you tried a manual install with the Standalone Installer?

This is very strange, since the player works in 4.79 and IE.

    Hi Marv,

Have you install the SunJave Plugin, or are you using the onboard Java for Netscape? Have you tried enabling/disabling Java?

    Just a thought...

Thanks Ramona, The sun java plug in is there 1.4.001. I will try disabling it and see what happens, but the flash plugin is working again in 7.01. I will also use the macromedia uninstaller and the manual installer next time and see what happens. I was using the auto install.
