Resolved [Nothing happens when clicking a link]

When I click on a link, my computer is no longer directed to that website. Also my 'menu' bar will not stay stationary. How do I correct these?

 

Sounds like a Virus or Malware/Spyware doing this to you. Head over to the Malware section and read the top post and run what is suggested and post the results. Broni in there is good at what he does.

 

Have you updated your Video Driver? This is the latest Release shown in Nvidia:

Might be worth a try before MrBill's suggestion as you appear to have been plagued with screen movements. Neil.

 

Video drive will not stop redirects. He said the menu bar wouldn't stay, not the whole screen.

Most mentioned cause appears to be corrupted default browser setting.

 

Neil, when having issues & consulting WindowsBBS, I have used mbam; Norton Security Suite is what I have, otherwise.

Thank you Virginia, but all of those different links is too mind-boggling & overwhelming when I have to copy & paste each one because clicking on them will not work.

 

Have you tried a System Restore to a time before this problem started? Neil.

I have attached a PDF file with some suggestions from the Microsoft Support site which was the first Google link cited. If you can't open this, let me know and I will paste the entire article directly in a post. It's two or three pages long.

 

Funny thing, this problem seems to have corrected itself with no action on my part. I did not know how to create a link to indicate this issue had been transferred to the Malware & Virus Removal forum, Sorry.
