While I don't really have an answer for you.....perhaps a replacement would work?

Thanks Daizy, I liked the looks of that editor, whew! that's for a mega-code-writer.
Though the author sez {sic} "OK, also in the past few months, I recieved a lot of e-mail saying the print preview and the print function don't work properly, and I have found the problem, unluckily, there will be no workaround, but anyway, it will fix it in the next version as I will going to re-write the whole code for NotePadXP ".

That link led me to this that is more basic for my simple needs :), no size limit and it prints too, so I downloaded it as a notepad replacement.

And that {2nd} author might have answered my "32KB" question too: said it is an OS limititation of the Text Editor Window that limits text moves to 32KB. That's beyond me, but is what I was trying to do.

So you showed me the answer and a replacement editor too! ;)
