I have a college student who is in dire need of a new computer. She would like to move to a laptop full time. Can someone recommend what brand and specs we should consider? There are so many options, but we want to make sure that this will do everything she needs, and do it WELL. :)

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi Shannon

I am not up on Laptops as with Desktops but my advice to apply to whatever you do get.

I believe I would consider a Dell or Toshiba were I going to buy.

    1. But considering the low cost of RAM I would get 4GB.

    2. I would try to get a full version of Vista (XP is hard to find on a Laptop) and not a Home Version. Vista Ultimate if you can swing it.

    Good luck!

    Mike
