    notebook bootup

I didn't see a spot just for notebooks, soooooo I am working on a Sony Vaio PCG-9A2L w/256 ram. It will not show the "post" screen! It has winxp home installed. Also I have NO Manual, whaw. I tried the external monitor, nada, is there a trick to the vaio

OK!! 256 mb of ram isn't very much for XP. I have 512 on my Dell laptop and it runs fine. Glad the external monitor works . Means your video card is good. Hope it isn't the screen. They can be spendy.
