A member of our forum has a problem printing pages from the web, it prints the top and the bottom but not the subject matter.
She can print ok from documents. this is a new problem apparently.
Would the subject matter be copy right protected ? if so why does it print part of the page ?
    The OS is Vista.
This may be in the wrong forum, but I suspect this problem could be in any forum or OS.

Is it all sites or just some sites?
Did you try to print from the sites in question?

Sorry everyone, THE FACTS ARE the lady has been trying to print Table Tennis and Bowls league tables for her husband, they are published by the sport concerned, I am waiting for her to tell me if they are local or national league tables and whether are published via their web .This has only occured recently she says, so I am thinking Peter C's comment may be close to the mark. She is getting back to me with the 'Browser' she uses
    Let you know later.

So please... for posterity, try to gather all relative (and correct) information before posting.

I appreciate you are posting in name of other people, but that makes it even more important to get the facts more precise.

NOW THIS IS A COPY OF HER LATEST EMAIL TO ME.
" RE, Not printing from web page" 'My problem is when one of Adrian's (Husband) players on Bowls or Table Tennis sends him information by email I usually print of a copy of the email. I can print anything from 'Documents, The problem is only incoming emails, when I go to view the incoming page I only get the Top and Bottom, not the content, I also found my telephone account (Talk Talk ) showed only the top and bottom' . End of members email.

Now I do not know the meaning of this, is it something to do with what system is used to 'View by'?
    any Ideas?

Ask your friend to run IE without add-ons and see if the issue remains.

What email client are they using, (Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, ...), and which version? (In the email client, click Help > About).

Current situation!!!! the 'Notebook' (Lapttop) is with me. It is an HP G80 running Vista basic, (or was) owner took additional advice from a Uni, student ( nothing wrong with Uni, students, I was one about 60 odd years ago) and tried a 'System Restore' for some reason this did not work, so she " reinstalled" the list of events shown on the System Restore dates. ( How ?).
Result, No Icons, no system, only keyboard and touch pad works.
Starts up with 'Resuming Windows' then black screen with arrow , that is operational.
    What I have tried:-
Safe Mode. Does not enter safe mode, Then tried a general recover disk ,( owner did not make recovery disk when she purchased pc) changed boot start up sequence to CD. Did not work.
Tried to install windows 7 ( this is what she wanted in the first place) did not install.
SO situation is, we have a 'Notebook' (Laptop) that boots up to ' Resuming Windows' and goes no further. running out of ideas.
Sorry Spyware Doc, I will get an answer to your 'email client?' when I can get into PC.
    Thanks in advance,
    Spanner.

Thanks Doc, the article in your response refers to Windows XP service pack 3, the OS on this Laptop is Vista basic, would this go into 'hibernation' even if the OS is not XP ? I left the laptop to come out of 'hibernation' for some time, how long should I expect it to take ?, and how will it 'awake' ?.
What would have caused it to go into hibernation?

Try disabling hiberanation from the windows recovery environment:
    1. Boot from the Vista DVD

    2. Select the Language

    3. Click on "Repair your Computer" on the Install now screen

    4. Click Next on the System Recovery Options screen

    5. Click on Command Prompt to open a command prompt window

    6. Type the command:
      powercfg.exe -h off
      and press [Enter].

    7. Remove the Vista DVD

    8. Restart your computer to see if the issue persists.

Thanks Doc,the lady does not have a Vista DVD, either lost or not issued with laptop ?
Could we use a Vista DVD that was installed in another laptop, would that 'Repair your Computer' work on this laptop.?
    Spanner.
PS I will also give your 'download' vista direct' a try, have two options then.
    Thanks.
