    Hi all,
Just got back from work today (driving vans at moment) and went straight to my desktop pc to check my mail (recently finished web design course and trying to get full time work) I turned it on it was playing up - my Win2k partition kept giving me a BSOD regarding unacesable boot device (I run triple boot 2 x XP 1 X Win2k) I opened the side panel, reseated all wires (sometimes have similar problems that have been fixed by doing this!) and tried again - now when I boot I get I get repeated beeps, I found a site that explains what BIOS beeps mean but it only went from 1 - 11 beeps. Mine went to 22 before I'd had enough and pulled the plug!!!!
Any one know what a continuous beeping means???
I really need to get this working asap

    many thanks ; )

    spotta,

Not sure if this will help, but on my Aptiva it means keyboard problems. Make sure the keyboard is plugged in completely and check for stuck keys.

    Hope that helps!

Sorry for not getting back sooner, I've left it alone for a couple of days as I was getting a bit wound up by it!!!!

Keyboard it was, I spose I should have known that, but I've never had it happen to me before :D

I'm still having grief with it , but it's more of a win2k prob, so i'll move to the correct forum

    Many thanks for the replies

The idea is fine and does work.

But ( from experience ) if anything goes wrong during the boot it can ( and did ) mess up more than one OS.

Also a problem that I had when I ran a triple boot was WARM restarting between them. A shutdown restart worked fine.

These newer machines can shutdown and restart so quickly that it does not allow time enough for RAM to clear porperly.
