    Hi All
My sister called me and said she could not get into her email accounts.
She has a hotmail and a Juno account.
I went over and checked, Her Hotmail and Juno will open, you can see the email preview, But if you click on a email, or try to go from her inbox to her junkmail folder or even try to write a email, her login screen comes up.

After trying to log in, a message comes up that her browser is not allowing cookies. so you can't even log in.
I dropped her security and cookie control down to low, just to try to get the cookie so I could save them....hotmail and Juno, but even doing that I get the same....not allowing cookies.

Her Juno internet account is in her trusted zone. but that does no good for her email account. I guess??

Am I missing a setting somewhere? this has been working for almost a year, the problem just started a week or so ago.
    No resent downloads lately.
    She is running
    EZ AV and Firewall
    Windows Defender
    SpywareBlaster.

I tried deleting the cookies and temp folders, did not help.

    Any Help?
    Geri

Have you checked in EZ Firewall for cookie control settings? Per Google searches, "Cookie" blocking can occur if "Privacy Control" is enabled.

    Hi Dennis
I looked through the firewall, could not really find any kind of settings. could not even find a allowed/denied listings on the settings anywhere.
She is not the type to go into any programs and change things.

She is the "I need to have auto-everything type ". because she knows nothing about computers....except to log on and check email.

I checked her HJT log (I downloaded and ran) the only thing I seen was a DPF from Coupons.com that I will get rid of next time I'm over there.

I might add that I have the same problem, I used to use excite as my home page. Had it customized for "My excite ". then one day I could not log onto the customized page. said my browser would not allow cookies.
Tried everything I could think of, but I could never get it back.
This was over a year ago.

Could Spywareblaster be blocking it somehow??
I am at a loss here.
Spywareblaster and CCleaner are really the only two things we both have on our systems.

I just found "my" problem. excite was in the Sites block list. Don't know why??
I will check this on hers,(though I don't know why it would be stopping both her email accounts, hotmail and Juno) and the EZ firewalls settings<<looked it up on Google.
    Thanks for the suggestions Dennis.

Anything else I could check for?

I use to use Juno years ago. Juno uses a clone version of Internet Explorer, you have to keep this in mind when making adjustments to the browser. It is rather different and takes some getting use to.
    Click on:
    Options
    Web Preferences
    Internet Options

You will see a screen exactly like that of IE's internet options. Unless it is giving you a cookie handling question, not sure if this will help though, but that's how you get there to make adjustments. Cookie handling is under the "privacy" option.

Spyware Blaster shouldn't make that much of a difference, it just restricts your browser, you should still be able to access the site. I would suggest following the above in Internet Options, go to "security" and place hotmail in your "Local Internet" area to allow it more freedom while in hotmail.

    Hey
    Thanks Skipslot,

As it turns out it was EZ Firewall.

    Your welcome Geri :)
Most of us have so many security type programs that cross protect.
It gets to be a challenge to find which one is the "over achiever ".
