I have 5 Flash Drives. All work on my wife's new PC. Only 3 work on my older PC (WinXP SP2 w/all updates) Home. MP3 player works on hers but not on mine which does have USB2 (enhanced) ports. Tried front USB ports, back USB ports, installed a USB2 PCI card. My USB ports work fine for 2 printers, scanners, card reader, etc.

When the unusable flash drives are plugged in the "search for new hardware wizard" starts but can't install new hardware. It then shows up in Device Manager as "unknown device ".

I have even copied all of the System32/Drivers from my wife's PC to mine with no luck.

    Any clues?

    Thanks.
