Can both Norton Security and Windows Defender be used at the same time? My computer has Vista Home Premium with Windows Defender, but it also came with a Norton Security for a trial period of time. Are there any problems using both?

    Thanks,

    Marv

    Hello Marv,

Norton will shut WD down. I don't know whether WD can be "forced" to run realtime with the presence of Norton and whether it would cause any problems.

I would keep WD updated and run it as an on demand scanner.

    Regards - Charles

    Hi Charles,

Many thanks for the info. I think I will sometimes disable Norton, activate WD and update it and run it, then close it and re-enable Norton. I do use Spybod, too, but not Tea Timer.
