Is the Norton Antivirus 2002 Upgrade you can get for $29.95 the same as the regular NAV 2002 software for $49.95 or are there separate Upgrade and Full Version software? In other words, does a Norton AV Upgrade look for a previous version of Norton AV on your PC?

I'm asking because I found out that I can order the NAV 2002 Upgrade for $29.95 at theSymantec Online Store
if I enter the Part Number from my unopened Norton AntiVirus Deluxe version 4.0 CD that I got back when IBM discontinued IBMAV (which I
never installed, since I decided on InoculateIT instead).

I know that you need Win98 for NAV2002 but I understand that if you order the Packaged version it includes NAV 2001.

Yes, it's the full version of the product. I recently upgraded my NAV2000 to 2002.

BTW, the download is approx 45 MB total and ends up in c\windows\V Box

Unless you are a patient 56k user or have a broadband connection, you may want to order it on CD.

    Just a little Hint here.

If believe it can downloaded with CD shipment also.

If this is possible I would suggest doing so. I downloaded it a slight glitch ( cable ) and had to go back and get it again before it would work.

Also Downloads can be lost if a format is required and the file is not stored somewhere other then the C: drive.

    Thanks Tony.

I will definitely get NAV on CD if I decide to buy it. I have a while to decide before InoculateIT runs out.

PS Thanks BillyBob too (didn't see your reply until I posted mine)
