    Hi,

We just installed XP SP2 and when we check the Windows Security Center we are alerted that Virus Protection is Off.

When we check the icon in the Task Bar it notes that Norton AntiVirus Auto Protect is Enabled.

Is there a way to correct this problem?

We have Norton SystemWorks 2004 Pro with Norton 2004 AntiVirus.

We have run Norton's Live Update and that didn't help.

    Thanks

Unless Norton has done a recent code change, I don't think there is a fix for it. They simply didn't get their app ready for SP2. You have protection but the XP security center can't see it.

    Hi Charles,
    Thanks for the reply.

I have tried running Live Update several times but it did not correct the problem.

I am using NSW 2004 Pro with the following condition:
When I installed NSW 2004 Pro, I could not use the Ghost Program from this CD with USB 2.0 and an external hard drive.
Symantec advised using Ghost from the NSW 2003 Pro CD, which I did, and it works fine. The other condition that Symantec advised was not to update Ghost using Live Updates or I could have the same problem as before.

When I run Live Updates, I never update Ghost. Maybe this is the problem.

I have submitted a question to Symantec regarding this problem and I'm currently waiting for an answer.
