No wait or off screen

    Hi there!
    My computer doesn't show wait or off screen although I have logos.sys & logow.sys in C:\Windows. I opened them in Paint and they're OK. Besides that I have no problems with shtutting down. The screen is simply black for 2-3 seconds. I don't want to reinstall whole system, becouse I've downloaded most of the updates and it took me too much time.

    Welcome to the boards. Does your computer shut off, despite not displaying the shutdown screen?

    Thanks for answering. Yes, usually my computer shuts off without displaying the logos. I just have to get under my desk to check is it really off, so I'd rather see the message on the screen.
