I just got WinXP installed on another HD, and when I am on my Home Page, the address doesn't show where I can type in a URL.
I am using www.altavista.com as my home page. I wanted to attach a picture. How do I make the URL address bar show?

    Hi Molehill
You're saying your address bar doesn't show....correct? Have you tried right clicking on the toolbar...and making sure there's a check mark placed beside address bar?

Yes Daizy, I tried that, and there's just no place to enter a URL. I'm
beginning to think I don't like XP. I am using Altavista for my Home
page, and the only window that I can type anything into is the "Search "
    window.

I am going to look into your directions one more time.
    Thanks,

    Mole

By Right-clicking on the tool bar. I had been there before, but I don't really know what I was doing wrong. I think it was because I was thinking that the address bar was supposed to be on the site itself rather than on then computer. Now I understand why my question was moved to a different Quorum.
You will just have to overlook this old man. I wake up in a new world every day.:D

    That's quite alright Molehill! :D
Just happy you got it working. And you're right...the address bar is actually part of the browser..not part of the page. :)
