No Start up bar or Icons when me open (HELP)

    Please HELP!
    My windows ME starts up and runs ok to me until windows ME loads. Then all I see is my wall paper! NOTHING ELSE! I chose ALT-CTRL-DELETE AND THE programe box is empty. What do I do? I do not have the windows ME CD! Please help as most of my information is on the PC.

    Try running in SAFE MODE (F8 at the startup). Does this show any icons?
