Can't get my computer to enter standby if I set time to more than 45 mins. Have Win XP Pro, SP 1 & 2 and updates to date.

No standby if time set to more than 45 mins

Thanks for reply. Yes I've looked at that link. I do have hibernation function and it will go into hibernation if I have standby set to 45 mins or less. If I set it to higher the computer will not enter standby and thus hibernate.

Go to Start > Run and type winver in the Open box, press OK. What is listed as your Windows version?

    Windows not hibernating

Tried winver and got Version 5.1(Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_qfe.070227-2300:ServicePack 2)

Physical memory available to Windows: 1,046,604KB.

Read the article. Not sure I understood it all but my entering standby/hibernate isn't delayed, it just never gets there.
