No Sound!!???

I have bragged many times about the sound quality of my Boston Acoustics speakers the past five years....always On!
Now the past five days I have had NO Sound!!!??? I think I have chacked Every possible software setting to see if something is turned "Off ", including Control Panel, "System Information ".
I even unplugged my speaker connections to back of computer and replugged a few times to No avail. I have turner o=Off and On my speakers a few times and do sometimes hear a Load 'static' noise coming from "bass extension" sometimes, but No music, etc. ???
I haven't been able to find my Boston Acoustics owners manual yet, but I haven't given up!

What's going on with the Device Manager and your machine? Do you think it's the sound system or the computer?
