    CAN NOT SAVE-ARCHIVE WEB PAGES
Running Windows 98 4.10.2222 A with IE 5 6.0.2800.1106 indicated in System Information. When trying to save a web page as<filename>.mht the net result is "Error saving web page -- The web page could not be saved to the selected locationâ€. Tried multiple save locations that have gigabytes of space, so changing the save location is not a problem solution. IE’s cache is cleaned, IE is "˜repaired’, restrictive applications (Win Patrol, Ad-Watch, Avast virus, .etc) are temporarily disabled, pages are refreshed with no indication or page error showing in IE’s status, web site is in trusted sites zone, but page-save still returns the same error. The problem web pages always include advertisements. The recent problem occurs at web sites where previous *.mht saves were successful. 100% problem web sites include "˜HelpWithWindows’ and PC World. In some instances the IE status changes to "˜error on page’ after unsuccessful save attempts of a page with no error indicated. How can web site requirements for save be identified? What IE options must be activated? Does "˜encoding’ have any relation to this save problem?
