I don't use IE, Outlook Express or MSN dialup so I'm on shaky ground. However, my 77 year old mother does and no son likes to disappoint mom.

I was tweaking and updating for her. I upgraded to IE6 and Outlook Express 6. Using MSN, she must now use Hotmail for her email utility. I can't seem to reconfigure for Outlook Express. I see that Hotmail is now the default for MSN, but is there a way to configure Outlook Express to work?

In OE, go to the toolbar at Tools\Accounts, then click on Add, and follow the prompts for the Account Wizard.

leftysjl --Did your mother ever have email service using OE? If yes, then perhaps all that is needed is to revert to OE as the default email program. Click IE Tools|Internet Options|Programs tab\click the drop-down arrow in the email line. Is Outlook Express there? If so, change the default.
Now can your mother use OE?
If not, you will have to contact her ISP and ask for the entries to put into the various Wizard boxes when you click OE Tools|Accounts|highlight (or enter) her user name|and click Add.
    A tutorial here
