no monitor picture

    hi
    when i switch on my computer i always have to press the restart button to get the monitor to work. i have just had a new mboard and processor. i am running win xp. Apart from this the computer is fine. I have checked the connections. Any ideas please?

    It sounds like your computer is going into hibernate.
    If you go to display properties, change the power mangagement settings.
    You should try setting your moitor to never shut off or your system from never hibernating off.

    thanks but that didnt work. its the same every time, the picture shows when I reset.
