I've had my laptop over 18months working on Vista and not made any alterations to the system. However I went to go online as I normally do and an error saying IP4&6 needs to be enabled came up.

I went into properties and they are both checked as enabled but when I then go into status they are both flagged as disabled.

I connected up the ethernet lead to the laptop to see if I could get online but same error comes up.

Can anybody help me on how I correct this please.

Start by running netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt from an elevated command prompt.
