Hi everyone,Microsoft pulled the plug on me when it’s XP home edition petered out. While trying to get back online I ended up with no installed hard drives so I’m in the same boat as many of your members.
Like them I’m anxious to get away from a vista laptop. I’m able to provide most of the technical info you seem to need but I have to transpose with pencil & paper so it could be a slow process. Have any of you the patience to bear with me? Cheers everhopeful

Hi everhopeful, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

Are you saying that your windows installation doesn't recognize your harddrives? Try booting up the computer and go into the system BIOS. There should be a key you have to press on bootup such as F1, F2, F10, Del, etc. Try going into the BIOS and check to see if the harddrive is recognized.

I would also run the Harddrive Diagnostics from your harddrive manufacturer to test and see whether your harddrive has failed or not.
