I have just received a new computer which is running WIN XP Pro.

On opening My Computer and navigating to the folder with my digital JPG pictures I cannot view them in Filmstrip mode. The option is unavailable. Why? Is there a method of setting up this feature? I am probably missing something obvious but at the moment just can't see how to get this working.

All is fine with another machine running XP Home.

    Any ideas?

Your pictures must be in My Documents\My Pictures folder - see 'filmstrip' in Start > Help and Support - type in 'filmstrip'.

    Pete,

Thanks for the info. I did indeed have my folders set up wrongly.

It's easy when you know how!

    Regards etc...

    Hi nargh

Just a suggestions, if you have Irfanview you have a very nice "filmstrip" viewer. More robust, and don't have to give up left column real estate in "My picture folder ". In addition you can store your pictures in any folder you choose.
