When I try to Send To Desktop (create shortcut) I get the message

at the header: Send to Mail Recipient CMC Power Toy

and in the box; No CMC mail provider is currently installed

I don't understand this at all. What is CMC and why does it try to use a mail provider?

Look in control panel=>add/remove programs and see if you have Send To Extensions Powertoy.

If so you can either remove it completely or else open it and clear the checkmark against Send To... Mail Recipient CMC

I removed the send to CMC and it still tried to send there. So I removed the entire Sendto powertoys thru Add/Remove. Now I don't have the send to desktop any more.
