    WindowXP
    Firefox 1.5

Installed Firefox 1.5 a few days ago. I also made a shortcut to the cache folder and put it on my desktop. When I opened the shortcut the folder was empty. I will appreciate any help I can get.

    Marilyn,

Is it possible that you set the option to remove all private data when Firefox closes? If so, then that would clear your Cache.

Ramona, thanks for helping. No I don't have that option set to clear the cache files when Firefox closes. I also put in a search for cache files in C: and the only file that came up was the cache.trash and of course that folder is empty. even deleted the cache.trash that didn't help either.

FF - 1.5 -stores the "cache" and "xul" in:
    c:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ (hidden folder)-did you look there ?

Captain is correct, except that Local Settings and Application Data are the hidden folder. They are using a new default location. It may work by creating a shortcut to that location, or it may not having a partial hidden path.
The Firefox1.0.7 profile, has the same path, as well.
