Hi I am trying to help my Brother get back on line.
He was running 98SE and had no problems with his Broadband, when he changed to XP Pro SP2 no problems installing and running XP all works fine exept his PC refuses to connect to the net, all drivers are loaded the Motorola Modem is blinking on the PC Activity LED as it did before on 98SE.
    Any Ideas anyone

The modem is still associated with the mac address of the nic when it was using win98. Unplug the modem, wait 10-30 seconds for the internal capacitor to drain, plug back in. Modem will reassociate.

thanks Tony, it has turned out that when he installed XP that somehow Internet drivers where not installed. So he was told by his ISP Help. After doing the same as you suggested. They sugest a re-install of XP.
