I leave my machine on almost continuously. This morning I was met with a black sscreen with the following messages

    PXE-E53 No boot filename received
No bootable device - Insert boot disk.

The system is a Systemax, XP SP-3 and has been running like a trooper for about 3 years non stop.

    Any assistance will be appreciated.

Are there any cd's in the cd drive? If so remove them...Same thing if you happen to have a floppy drive.

If you then go into your bios settings you might find that the CD/DVD drive is 1st in the boot order. If you change it so that the hard drive is 1st this problem should not happen again.

If my assumption is wrong and there was nothing in your CD/DVD drive you may have a problem with the hard drive.

Let us know what you find.
