No beep,no speaker

    I recently replaced my computer case.The new case came with a micro speaker 1/2 inch diam(small cylinder with the wires attached to).I installed it on my motherboard.At POST time there was no beep.Is my speaker defectice?

    Depends on what that means. The one black and one red wires should have a connector that plugs onto the mobo, but the speaker is normally attached to the case by the end opposite the wires. If you're sure the wires are attached to the mobo correctly, the speaker may be defective, but that's very unlikely.

    BTW, have to ask someone else to listen, possibly?

    Check in the BIOS/CMOS settings at startup. It may not be beeping because it is set to "Quick POST ".
