no access to internet advanced settings

    hi
    i hope you can help i have been having a few minor internet problems with speed ect the usual suspects,but when i try to look into the settings i get this message "internet explorer not configured to allow shared users to configure or disable internet "

    i get to this message from control panel -internet connections-internet connection status-properties -settings-then the warning pops up!

    i am running win xp home on this comp with netgear wireless through to the other room to a second computor not now in use

    could you please advice me on this

    Hi Wayne Jones. What version of Internet Explorer are you using? What Operating System do you have installed? By internet advanced settings are you talking about the internet options for Internet Explorer or the advanced settings for your internet connection? Are you an administrator on the computer? Do you have file, media, or printer sharing enabled on your computer?

    If a busines computer at work, check w/ the IT dept.
    If your own home computer, check your anti-spyware or Internet security programs for settings that control IE options.
