A strange thing has happened over the last 2 weeks. I occassionally dabble in newsgroups and keep an eye on a few with OE 6.0 (both at work and at home via ISP Earthlink, but different accts). None of the regular NGs through the ELN severs would update but the MS ones would. Same thing at home as at work. ELN suggested that I reset my TCP/IP but I just found out that if I unscubrscibe a newsgroup, close OE and resubscribe, it updates fine. Now I am wondering if it has been caused by an MS update of some kind. Certainly seems to negate the TCP/IP theory.

Oh, is there anyway to re-suscribe or reset the NGs without having to actually unsubscribe the NGs, close OE, open OE and then re-subscribe them??

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank a lot!

I did find a shortcut but no answers. I did find that if you right click Properties while the NG is highlighted, go to Local File and hit RESET, it will do the same thing as the Unsuscribe/Re-subscribe routine. Less slow of a recovery but it does not answer the "why's ". Still, doing a wholesale wipe of the NGs and then re-subscribing to them all may be just as fast as individually resetting them. Hmmm.
