News from SpyBot S & D

The following is posted on the Spybot S & D website:

"InBox Inc. has registered the domain spybot.com and makes it look like people would have to register there to get a copy of Spybot-S&D. Spybot-S&D is free to use and doesn't need any registration, so please don't be fooled by spybot.com!
In addition, InBox Inc. has announced to get a trademark on the name Spybot, and threatens legal consequences, including the threat to stop us from using the name Spybot - Search & Destroy.
Until this situation has been settled, I asked you to boykott spybot.com and InBox Inc.!

Second, the domain safer-networking.com has been registered by a dialer company. As you may now, Safer Networking is the name of another project of mine to offer Spybot-S&D downloads and mirror services. Please understand that safer-networking.com is a completely different thing! "

Isn't it amazing how fast the leeches and bloodsuckers rise from the bottom of the barrel to steal the good's when someone gets a good workable/helpfull idea and offers it to the world free of charge!!!!


BTW there's a new Spybot update available today.

That is the first thing I thought about. What was he thinking by not registering several names including SpyBotSD etc.

True, in addition to being the information Super Hiway, and because it is, the internet is a commercially based and is a money making opportunity.

What they are doing, why they are doing it, and how they are doing it, is not illegal but it is still slimy!
