Installed a wd 120 gig hd in a Dell pentium III with Win 98 Se. Flashed the bios first. Added Microsoft patches so Fdisk etc. should be able to see larger drive. Copied files from old slow drive.

New drive works fine as a slave, but will not boot as master or single. Bios shows it as it is supposed to be----but Fdisk shows it as actual less 64.

What is going on here? How can I get it working?

    Hi byron59...

I'm going to assume that it is a EIDE WD 120 GB. Are the jumpers set correctly for Single or Master? EIDE Jumper Config => http://support.wdc.com/techinfo/general/jumpers.asp
