NewDot

When I restart my computer I get a error about Newdot. I have looked for help and it said go to add remove programs and look for the program new.net program and then remove. I do not have that there...can someone help me please? I am using Windows Xp home edition.

 

Download HijackThis from the CWShredder link in my signature. Place it in a permanent folder(I create a new folder in C:\ named HJT). Open and hit scan, then save log. Once it is saved it will open in notepad. Select all from the edit button, copy and paste the results here. Don't fix anything with it yet! Someone experienced with the logs will tell you what/how to fix.

 

Ok i did all that but there is no select all in the edit part!! Now what?

 

Assuming you have saved the log and are viewing a notepad document, make sure it is the active window (click on it) and press Ctrl+A. Then right click the text and copy. Paste in a reply window here.

 

Slipped my mind earlier, is there a Save Now in add/remove? When U Shop? Those should come out and could be the cause also.

 

No dont have that in there either. No idea where this came from!
